‘The National Grid’ is a minimal/rhythmic/noise project performed live by Michael Shepherd (aka DJ an0n) with occasional live collaborators. Originally founded in Kobe, Japan in 2011: the project has now relocated to UK.

2012年より『The National Grid』という別名でトルコの『Noise Istanbul』に出演。2016年には自身のデビューリリース、日本/ヨーロッパでのイベントに出演予定。
Dj an0n名義では1992年から活動を開始し.イギリス及び日本の様々なイベントでプレイする。2003年から神戸でレギュラーDJおよびオーガナイザー。レーベルAPPLIANCE JAPANを主宰。

Michael Shepherd has been DJing and recording since 1992, contributing to various compilations and collaborating in projects, under various aliases, ranging from noise/punk/experimental/afro-funk/DnB/ambient/minimal techno/industrial. Started the label APPLIANCE RECORDINGS in 1995 before relocating to Kobe, Japan in 1999.

Performed/organised regular events in Kansai, Japan (2001-2014), including the groundbreaking ‘VACANT ROOM’ and ‘CIRCUS MAXIMUS‘.

Relocated to UK in 2014. Since 2020, a founding member and resident of the DJ collective ‘The Flipside Society‘.
